Be a change maker: Earn a social work degree from BSU

Are you passionate about social justice? Do you dream of empowering at-risk individuals and families? Do you see yourself as a leader or in a teaching role?

Bridgewater State University’s School of Social Work offers the largest bachelor’s in social work program in Massachusetts along with a popular master’s in social work program — both of which are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. With a curriculum grounded in service learning, BSU’s social work programs offer intensive fieldwork and mentoring by our accomplished faculty.

Prepare for a meaningful career as change maker through undergraduate and graduate social work programs that feature:

  • Internships that provide crucial field experience. Complete a year-long internship as part of your bachelor’s in social work program. Students in BSU’s social work master’s program supervise progress in areas like child welfare and addiction services.
  • Devoted faculty. Learn from BSU’s diverse faculty, who have extensive teaching and field experience. They boast expertise in areas such as aging and immigration, coordination of care and mental health.
  • Student engagement opportunities. Join Phi Alpha, the national honor society for social work, or the Social Work Student Advisory Group, and take advantage of our social work alumni network.
