Investigate a Rewarding Career Path: Criminal Justice Degrees at Bridgewater State University

From examining crimes and cases to helping keep communities safe, Bridgewater State University’s Department of Criminal Justice prepares you to make an impact on people’s everyday lives.

BSU’s criminal justice programs examine criminal behavior through a social justice lens in order to understand the cultural, legal and social contexts that play a role in criminology. We also offer a master’s in criminal justice with four concentrations, as well as two graduate certificate programs.

BSU’s in-person and online criminal justice degree coursework helps you to think about criminal justice in a broad framework. Because the U.S. criminal justice system involves law enforcement, the courts and corrections, Bridgewater’s criminal justice programs take an interdisciplinary approach with your coursework. You will:

  • Learn from leading criminology experts. BSU’s in-person and online criminal justice degree faculty provide you with a thorough understanding of political, legal, social and economic systems that converge around crime and rehabilitation. Learn how to consider the wider implications of crime and the many ways we can more effectively serve communities.
  • Study in small classes that produce big results. Because our criminal justice degree courses are purposely kept small, you’ll receive personalized attention as you connect with classmates and BSU faculty and staff.
  • Gain experience to help you stand out. All our criminal justice programs offer experiential learning opportunities. You’ll gain expertise in the field through internships and research opportunities to help you stand out as you pursue a career in criminal justice.
